to showcase and to cruise a variety of antique, classic and
hot rod automobiles at designated stops along the Coast in
Ocean Springs, Biloxi, D’Iberville, Gulfport, Long Beach,
and Bay St. Louis. Cruisin’ The Coast began back in 1996,
when the Mississippi Gulf Coast Gaming Association decided
to host an event that would attract more visitors to the
area - and has it ever! In its inaugural year, the event
drew only 374 registered vehicles from neighboring states.
But since then, the event has grown exponentially. Last
year, Cruisin’ The Coast drew in an impressive 4026
registered cars and shows no signs of slowing down! Times:

BILOXI LITTLE THEATRE
PRESENTS “THE LARAMIE PROJECT “
October 10-12 & 16-18
Join us for this deeply moving and breathtaking play base on
the true story of the murder of Matthew Shepard, a student
of University of Wyoming who was savagely beaten, tied to a
fence and left to die in Laramie, Wyoming in 1998.
Faithfully transcribed from some 200 hours of interviews,
plus police records, court testimony and more, it is really
a judicious job of cut-and-paste for dramatic effect!
However, as The Laramie Project unfolds, there is a gradual
awareness that this horrible act could have taken place in a
whole lot of places where there are wide-open spaces and
narrow, closed minds. The result is an indictment of the
crime but something of a vindication of the town! Times:
